The Dolores Bears basketball team scored 42 points and limited the visiting Monticello Buckaroo to 39 in the Bears non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bears now have a 6-12 record. They play next when they travel to Ouray for a 3A/2A/1A San Juan game on Friday, February 7. Dolores will confront a Trojans team coming off a 50-8 league loss to Dove Creek (Dove Creek, CO). The Trojans record now stands at 0-15.

With the loss, Monticello falls to 3-17 on the campaign. The Buckaroo host Monument Valley (Monument Valley, UT) to confront the Cougars in a 1A Region 19 game on Tuesday, February 11. The Cougars go into the game with a record of 10-9.
