The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Episcopal Maroon (Alexandria, VA) and the host Madeira Snails (McLean, VA), observed Episcopal's basketball team knock off Madeira by a score of 48-31.

The Maroon (8-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart (Bethesda, MD). The Gators come into the Independent School challenge with a 13-6 record. In their last challenge, Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart prevailed over Holton-Arms (Bethesda, MD), 51-35, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Snails encounter the Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart Gators (Bethesda, MD) in a Independent School challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Madeira will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record. The Gators come into the challenge with a 13-8 record after their 61-48 non-league loss to Georgetown Visitation Prep (Washington, DC).
