The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Westwood Patriots (Ishpeming, MI) and the visiting Iron Mountain Mountaineers (Iron Mountain, MI), observed Westwood's basketball team knock off Iron Mountain by a score of 59-39.

The Patriots (6-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Manistique (Manistique, MI). The Emeralds come into the non-league challenge with a 2-11 record. In their last challenge, Manistique dropped by St. Ignace (St. Ignace, MI), 76-34, in a non-league bout.

With the loss, Iron Mountain falls to 3-13 on the campaign. The Mountaineers host Norway (Norway, MI) to play the Knights in a Western Peninsula bout on Thursday, February 6. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 6-8. Norway lost 47-36 in their recent non-league bout against Florence (Florence, WI)
