The Lorenzo Hornets (Lorenzo, TX) basketball edged the host Southland Eagles (Southland, TX), 2-0 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Hornets now possess a 16-9 record. They play next when they host Guthrie for a non-league bout on Monday, February 10. Lorenzo will play a Jaguars team coming off a 60-39 league loss to Valley (Turkey, TX). The Jaguars record now stands at 22-8.
With the loss, Southland falls to 3-14 on the campaign. The Eagles host Crosbyton (Crosbyton, TX) to play the Chiefs in a 1A Region I District 7 bout on Tuesday, February 11. The Chiefs go into the bout with a record of 4-19.
