The Westmoreland Eagles basketball team scored 59 points and limited the visiting Merrol Hyde Magnet Hawks to 33 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Eagles now have a 10-9 record. They play next when they travel to Liberty Creek for a 2A District 6 game on Friday, February 7.
With the loss, Merrol Hyde Magnet falls to 7-13 on the campaign. The Hawks host Red Boiling Springs (Red Boiling Springs, TN) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Thursday, February 6. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 3-13.
