North Carolina High School Basketball - New Hanover overwhelms North Brunswick

February 4, 2025: Wilmington, NC 28401

The New Hanover Wildcats basketball team scored 62 points and limited the visiting North Brunswick Scorpions to 19 in the Wildcats league triumph on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now possess a 14-5 record. They play next when they host Hoggard for a 3A/4A Mideastern game on Wednesday, February 5. New Hanover will confront a Vikings team coming off a 57-28 league win over Topsail (Hampstead, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 19-1.

With the loss, North Brunswick falls to 3-13 on the campaign. The Scorpions travel to Ashley (Wilmington, NC) to confront the Screaming Eagle in a 3A/4A Mideastern game on Wednesday, February 5. The Screaming Eagle go into the game with a record of 8-12. Ashley won 47-32 in their recent league game against West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC)
