California High School Basketball - Quincy sneaks past Portola

February 4, 2025: Quincy, CA 95971

The Quincy Trojans (Quincy, CA) basketball edged the visiting Portola Tigers (Portola, CA), 43-36 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Trojans now possess a 15-5 record. They play next when they host Chester for a non-league bout on Thursday, February 6. Quincy will play a Volcanoes team coming off a 42-32 league win over CORE Butte (Chico, CA). The Volcanoes record now stands at 13-7.

With the loss, Portola falls to 13-10 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Sierra Lutheran (Carson City, NV) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 5. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 4-13. Sierra Lutheran lost 44-9 in their recent league bout against Battle Mountain (Battle Mountain, NV)
