Georgia High School Basketball - Tift County can't hold off Veterans

Veterans Warhawks (Kathleen, GA) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Tift County Blue Devils (Tifton, GA), 67-62 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Veterans upgrades its record to 16-8 on the year. The Warhawks host Lee County (Leesburg, GA) to face the Trojans in a AAAAA Region 2 match on Friday, February 7. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 17-6. Lee County won 46-30 in their recent league match against Northside (Warner Robins, GA)
The Blue Devils now sport a 9-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Camden County for a AAAAAA Region 1 match on Friday, February 7. Tift County will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 55-44 league win over Colquitt County (Norman Park, GA). The Wildcats record now stands at 17-6.
