Virginia High School Basketball - Dan River nudges Altavista

The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Dan River Wildcats (Ringgold, VA) and the visiting Altavista Colonels (Altavista, VA), observed Dan River's basketball team edge Altavista by a score of 18-17.
The Wildcats (8-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Nelson County (Lovingston, VA). The Governors come into the non-league challenge with a 1-10 record. In their last challenge, Nelson County edged Chatham (Chatham, VA), 20-19, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Colonels encounter the Gretna Hawks (Gretna, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 7. Altavista will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 3-10 record after their 33-27 non-league win over Prince Edward County (Farmville, VA).
