The Mountain Heritage Cougars basketball team scored 41 points and limited the host Mitchell Mountaineers to 17 in the Cougars league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cougars now have a 6-5 record. They play next when they travel to Asheville Christian Academy for a non-league game on Wednesday, February 5. Mountain Heritage will confront a Lions team coming off a 31-22 non-league loss to Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC). The Lions record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Mitchell falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Mountaineers travel to Avery County (Newland, NC) to confront the Vikings in a non-league game on Tuesday, February 11. The Vikings go into the game with a record of 0-4.
