The Western Albemarle Warriors basketball squad (Crozet, VA), was nudged 37-33 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Orange County Fighting Hornets (Orange, VA)
With the victory, Orange County advances its record to 9-7 on the year. The Fighting Hornets host Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA) to meet the Flying Flucos in a battle on Friday, February 7. The Flying Flucos enter the battle with a record of 11-3. Fluvanna County won 44-30 in their recent non-league battle against Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA)
The Warriors now own a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Monticello for a non-league battle on Thursday, February 6. Western Albemarle will meet a Mustangs squad coming off a 43-13 non-league loss to Louisa County (Mineral, VA). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-11.
