Palestine Wildcats (Palestine, TX) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Hudson Hornets (Lufkin, TX), 8-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, Palestine moves its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Westwood (Palestine, TX) to meet the Panthers in a 4A Region 2 District 16 test on Friday, February 7. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 7-8. Westwood 1-1 in their recent league test against Diboll (Diboll, TX)

The Hornets now sport a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Madisonville for a 4A Region 2 District 16 test on Friday, February 7. Hudson will meet a Mustangs team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Crockett (Crockett, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 13-2.
