The Mount Miguel Matadors basketball team scored 76 points and limited the visiting Steele Canyon Cougars to 67 in the Matadors league triumph on Tuesday.

The Matadors now possess a 18-3 record. They play next when they host Helix for a game on Friday, February 7. Mount Miguel will confront a Highlanders team coming off a 63-40 league win over El Capitan (Lakeside, CA). The Highlanders record now stands at 13-5.

With the loss, Steele Canyon falls to 5-11 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Monte Vista (Spring Valley, CA) to confront the Monarchs in a game on Friday, February 7. The Monarchs go into the game with a record of 3-21. Monte Vista lost 55-44 in their recent league game against El Capitan (Lakeside, CA)
