Union Spartans (Rose Hill, NC) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Rosewood Eagles (Goldsboro, NC), 41-26 in a league match.

With the victory, Union advances its record to 15-2 on the year. The Spartans travel to North Duplin (Calypso, NC) to face the Rebels in a match on Friday, February 7. The Rebels enter the match with a record of 6-10. North Duplin lost 67-66 in their recent league match against Lakewood (Roseboro, NC)

The Eagles now own a 3-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hobbton for a non-league match on Wednesday, February 5. Rosewood will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 45-43 league win over Neuse Charter (Smithfield, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-9.
