In Saturday's league match, the visiting South Eugene Axe basketball team scored a tight 60-55 triumph over the Grants Pass Cavemen.
In their next game, the Axe meet the North Medford Black Tornado (Medford, OR) in a 6A Southwest match, on Wednesday, February 9. South Eugene will attempt to move on its 4-11 season record. The Black Tornado enter the match with a 16-2 record after their 71-61 league win over Roseburg (Roseburg, OR).
With the defeat, Grants Pass falls to 3-13 on the campaign. The Cavemen host Sheldon (Eugene, OR) to confront the Irish in a 6A Southwest challenge on Friday, February 11. The Irish come into the challenge with a record of 5-12. Sheldon lost 50-41 in their recent league challenge against South Medford (Medford, OR)
