The Warde Mustangs basketball team (Fairfield, CT), was nudged 45-44 in Saturday's league battle with the host Norwalk Bears (Norwalk, CT)
The Bears now possess a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ridgefield for a Fairfield County battle on Tuesday, February 8. Norwalk will confront a Tigers team coming off a 70-54 non-league win over Kolbe-Cathedral (Bridgeport, CT). The Tigers record now stands at 10-3.
The Mustangs (9-5) will now prepare for their battle against New Canaan (New Canaan, CT). The Rams come into the Fairfield County battle with a 5-8 record. In their last battle, New Canaan edged Bridgeport Central (Bridgeport, CT), 59-40, in a league battle.
