With the victory, Homer upgrades its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Mariners travel to Galena (Galena, AK) to play the Hawks in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 10. The Hawks come into the bout with a record of 1-2.

Next up, the Kardinals play the Seward Seahawks (Seward, AK) in a 3A Peninsula bout, on Saturday, February 12. Kenai Central will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Seahawks come into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 53-39 non-league loss to Bethel (Bethel, AK).
