Montpelier Locomotives (Montpelier, OH) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Pettisville Blackbirds (Pettisville, OH), 63-41 in a league bout.

With the victory, Montpelier upgrades its record to 17-3 on the campaign. The Locomotives host North Central (Pioneer, OH) to play the Eagles in a Buckeye Border bout on Thursday, February 10. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 10-8. North Central lost 53-35 in their recent non-league bout against Hicksville (Hicksville, OH)

Next up, the Blackbirds play the Liberty Center Tigers (Liberty Center, OH) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 7. Pettisville will attempt to upgrade on its 1-17 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 11-8 record after their 56-12 non-league win over Otsego (Tontogany, OH).
