The Beacon Academy Trailblazers basketball team scored 59 points and held the visiting Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park Hawks to 31 in the Trailblazers non-league triumph on Monday.
The Trailblazers now sport a 16-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Christian Heritage Academy for a non-league contest on Wednesday, February 7. Beacon Academy will battle a Lions team coming off a 42-41 non-league win over Wolcott College Prep (Chicago, IL). The Lions record now stands at 15-5.
The Hawks (9-18) will now prepare for their contest against Chicago Washington (Chicago, IL). The Patriots enter the non-league contest with a 12-10 record. In their last contest, Chicago Washington was routed by Kennedy (Chicago, IL), 57-33, in a non-league contest.
