Illinois High School Basketball - Scales Mound crushes Benton

February 5, 2024: Scales Mound, IL 61075

Scales Mound Hornets (Scales Mound, IL) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Benton Zephyrs (Benton, WI), 71-22 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Scales Mound upgrades its record to 20-7 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to West Carroll (Savanna, IL) to play the Thunder in a Northwest Upstate Illini - West bout on Wednesday, February 7. The Thunder come into the bout with a record of 1-25. West Carroll lost 76-31 in their recent league bout against Warren (Warren, IL)

Next up, the Zephyrs play the Lancaster Flying Arrows (Lancaster, WI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Benton will attempt to upgrade on its 2-17 season record. The Flying Arrows come into the bout with a 9-10 record after their 55-49 league loss to River Valley (Spring Green, WI).
