The St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays tipped the host Berchmans Academy Saints basketball team by a final score of 47-45 in Monday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Fighting Blue Jays face the Sacred Heart Trojans (Ville Platte, LA) in a 1A District 6 battle, on Tuesday, February 6. St. Edmund will attempt to improve on its 9-14 season record. The Trojans come into the battle with a 13-15 record after their 59-55 league loss to Opelousas Catholic (Opelousas, LA).
The Saints (4-11) will now prepare for their battle against North Iberville (Rosedale, LA). The Bears come into the non-league battle with a 0-3 record. In their last battle, North Iberville was nudged by St. Edmund (Eunice, LA), 43-24, in a non-league battle.
