Blake Bengals (Silver Spring, MD) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Paint Branch Panthers (Burtonsville, MD), 54-40 in a league bout.
With the win, Blake upgrades its record to 10-4 on the season. The Bengals travel to Springbrook (Silver Spring, MD) to play the Blue Devils in a Montgomery 4A/3A East bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 9-7.
Next up, the Panthers play the Kennedy Cavaliers (Silver Spring, MD) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 9. Paint Branch will attempt to upgrade on its 14-3 season record. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a 9-4 record after their 77-58 non-league win over Blair (Silver Spring, MD).
