In Monday's non-league outing, the Fairmont Senior Polar Bears (Fairmont, WV) basketball squad felled the visiting Shady Spring Tigers (Shady Spring, WV), by a margin of 63-53.
The Polar Bears (15-0) will now prepare for their outing against North Marion (Farmington, WV). The Huskies go into the Big Ten outing with a 6-7 record. In their last outing, North Marion was beaten by Lewis County (Weston, WV), 59-49, in a league outing.
The Tigers now own a 11-4 record. They play next when they travel to Bluefield for a non-league outing on Tuesday, February 6. Shady Spring will encounter a Beavers squad coming off a 53-48 non-league win over Charleston Catholic (Charleston, WV). The Beavers record now stands at 10-3.
