Shawsheen Valley Tech Rams (Billerica, MA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Greater Lowell Tech Gryphons (Tyngsborough, MA), 56-55 in a league bout.

With the victory, Shawsheen Valley Tech upgrades its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Lowell Catholic (Lowell, MA) to play the Crusaders in a Commonwealth - Upper bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Crusaders come into the bout with a record of 6-9. Lowell Catholic lost 77-62 in their recent non-league bout against Methuen (Methuen, MA)

Next up, the Gryphons play the Whittier RVT Wildcats (Haverhill, MA) in a Commonwealth - Upper bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Greater Lowell Tech will attempt to upgrade on its 2-12 season record.
