J.R. Tucker Tigers (Henrico, VA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Mechanicsville Mustangs (Mechanicsville, VA), 57-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, J.R. Tucker upgrades its record to 8-11 on the season. The Tigers host Godwin (Richmond, VA) to play the Eagles in a Colonial bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 15-4. Godwin won 83-54 in their recent non-league bout against Louisa County (Mineral, VA)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Goochland Bulldogs (Goochland, VA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 7. Mechanicsville will attempt to upgrade on its 4-16 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 4-17 record after their 93-36 league loss to Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA).
