Kingman Academy Tigers (Kingman, AZ) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host St. John Paul II Catholic Lions (Avondale, AZ), 63-58 in a league bout.

With the win, Kingman Academy upgrades its record to 10-12 on the season. The Tigers host Trivium Prep (Goodyear, AZ) to clash with the Crimson Knights in a 2A West bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Crimson Knights go into the bout with a record of 0-24. Trivium Prep lost 100-44 in their recent league bout against Mohave Accelerated (Bullhead City, AZ)

Next up, the Lions clash with the Arizona Lutheran Academy Coyotes (Phoenix, AZ) in a 2A West bout, on Tuesday, February 6. St. John Paul II Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 9-18 season record. The Coyotes go into the bout with a 24-3 record after their 78-67 non-league win over Phoenix Country Day (Paradise Valley, AZ).
