Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Wells Warriors (Wells, ME) and the host Lake Region Lakers (Naples, ME), saw Wells's basketball squad knock off Lake Region by a tally of 73-56.

With the victory, Wells improves its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Warriors host Greely (Cumberland Center, ME) to play the Rangers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 8. The Rangers come into the challenge with a record of 7-8.

Next up, the Lakers play the Yarmouth Clippers (Yarmouth, ME) in a B South challenge, on Wednesday, February 7. Lake Region will attempt to improve on its 7-10 season record. The Clippers come into the challenge with a 9-8 record after their 58-43 league win over York (York, ME).
