The LaVergne Wolverines basketball team (LaVergne, TN), was nudged 53-51 in Monday's league battle with the host Stewarts Creek Red Hawks (Smyrna, TN)
The Red Hawks now sport a 9-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lebanon for a 4A District 7 match on Tuesday, February 6. Stewarts Creek will meet a Blue Devils team coming off a 80-44 league loss to Cookeville (Cookeville, TN). The Blue Devils record now stands at 11-15.
With the defeat, LaVergne moves to 17-7 on the year. The Wolverines travel to Wilson Central (Lebanon, TN) to meet the Wildcats in a 4A District 7 match on Tuesday, February 6. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 9-13.
