In Monday's league outing, the Maxwell Bears (Maxwell, NM) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Wagon Mound Trojans (Wagon Mound, NM), by a margin of 69-39.
The Bears (10-8) will now prepare for their outing against Cimarron (Cimarron, NM). The Rams go into the A District 5 outing with a 15-4 record. In their last outing, Cimarron smashed Wagon Mound (Wagon Mound, NM), 83-45, in a league outing.
The Trojans now own a 1-8 record. They play next when they host Roy/Mosquero for a A District 5 outing on Thursday, February 8. Wagon Mound will clash with a Longhorn squad coming off a 75-38 league win over Springer (Springer, NM). The Longhorn record now stands at 10-9.
