The Middletown Blue Dragons (Middletown, CT) basketball felled the visiting Platt Panthers (Meriden, CT), 85-76 in Monday's league test.
The Blue Dragons (9-6) will now prepare for their test against Bristol Eastern (Bristol, CT). The Lancers go into the non-league test with a 12-3 record. In their last test, Bristol Eastern thwarted Berlin (Berlin, CT), 72-47, in a non-league test.
The Panthers now own a 4-9 record. They play next when they travel to Berlin for a Central Connecticut - South Colonial test on Thursday, February 8. Platt will encounter a Redcoats squad coming off a 72-47 non-league loss to Bristol Eastern (Bristol, CT). The Redcoats record now stands at 8-8.
