Rogers City Hurons (Rogers City, MI) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Mio-Au Sable Thunderbolts (Mio, MI), 52-35 in a league bout.

With the victory, Rogers City upgrades its record to 4-11 on the campaign. The Hurons travel to Whittemore-Prescott (Whittemore, MI) to play the Cardinals in a North Star bout on Friday, February 9. The Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 2-14. Whittemore-Prescott lost 52-6 in their recent league bout against Heston Academy (St. Helen, MI)

Next up, the Thunderbolts play the Johannesburg-Lewiston Cardinals (Johannesburg, MI) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 7. Mio-Au Sable will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Cardinals come into the bout with a 3-14 record after their 77-35 league loss to Onaway (Onaway, MI).
