In Monday's league outing, the William Campbell Generals (Naruna, VA) basketball squad edged the visiting Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA), by a count of 53-48.
The Generals (9-7) will now prepare for their outing against Appomattox County (Appomattox, VA). The Raiders go into the Dogwood outing with a 7-10 record. In their last outing, Appomattox County was tipped by Chatham (Chatham, VA), 59-54, in a league outing.
The Governors now hold a 7-10 record. They play next when they travel to Gretna for a Dogwood outing on Tuesday, February 6. Nelson County will clash with a Hawks squad coming off a 75-69 league win over Altavista (Altavista, VA). The Hawks record now stands at 9-9.
