The Oneida Baptist Institute Mountaineers basketball team scored 73 points and held the host Red Bird Cardinals to 50 in the Mountaineers league triumph on Monday.

The Mountaineers now sport a 12-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jackson County for a District 49 contest on Tuesday, February 6. Oneida Baptist Institute will meet a Generals team coming off a 66-52 non-league loss to Cumberland County (Burkesville, KY). The Generals record now stands at 10-11.

The Cardinals (3-12) will now prepare for their contest against Cordia (Hazard, KY). The Lions enter the non-league contest with a 5-20 record. In their last contest, Cordia was routed by Jenkins (Jenkins, KY), 80-42, in a non-league contest.
