Beecher Bobcats (Beecher, IL) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Clifton Central Comets (Clifton, IL), 49-29 in a league bout.

With the victory, Beecher upgrades its record to 15-13 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Illinois Lutheran (Crete, IL) to play the Chargers in a River Valley bout on Thursday, February 8. The Chargers come into the bout with a record of 4-17. Illinois Lutheran lost 58-32 in their recent league bout against Tri-Point (Cullom, IL)

Next up, the Comets play the Grant Park Dragons (Grant Park, IL) in a River Valley bout, on Thursday, February 8. Clifton Central will attempt to upgrade on its 14-15 season record. The Dragons come into the bout with a 5-20 record after their 37-28 league loss to Momence (Momence, IL).
