The Burgettstown Blue Devils (Burgettstown, PA) basketball crushed the visiting Brentwood Spartans (Pittsburgh, PA), 51-20 in Monday's league test.

The Blue Devils (10-8) will now prepare for their test against Carlynton (Carnegie, PA). The Cougars go into the WPIAL 2A 2 test with a 5-13 record. In their last test, Carlynton was trounced by Brentwood (Pittsburgh, PA), 35-15, in a league test.

The Spartans now own a 5-10 record. They play next when they host Northgate for a WPIAL 2A 2 test on Thursday, February 8. Brentwood will encounter a Flames squad coming off a 45-26 non-league loss to Westinghouse (Pittsburgh, PA). The Flames record now stands at 5-11.
