Bridgeton Bulldogs (Bridgeton, NJ) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Vineland Fighting Clan (Vineland, NJ), 50-47 in a league bout.

With the victory, Bridgeton advances its record to 5-17 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Mainland Regional (Linwood, NJ) to encounter the Mustangs in a non-league test on Wednesday, February 7. The Mustangs go into the test with a record of 21-1. Mainland Regional won 58-37 in their recent non-league test against Absegami (Galloway, NJ)

The Fighting Clan now own a 3-14 record. They play next when they host Haddon Heights for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 13.
