Byron Bears (Byron, MN) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Stewartville Tigers (Stewartville, MN), 56-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Byron upgrades its record to 16-4 on the season. The Bears travel to Goodhue (Goodhue, MN) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 19-4. Goodhue won 75-45 in their recent non-league bout against Cannon Falls (Cannon Falls, MN)

Next up, the Tigers play the St. Peter Saints (St. Peter, MN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Stewartville will attempt to upgrade on its 15-7 season record. The Saints go into the bout with a 18-1 record after their 60-49 league win over Marshall (Marshall, MN).
