Chesapeake Panthers (Chesapeake, OH) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Dawson-Bryant Hornets (Coal Grove, OH), 37-25 in a league bout.

With the win, Chesapeake upgrades its record to 12-9 on the season. The Panthers host South Webster (South Webster, OH) to play the Jeeps in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 7. The Jeeps go into the bout with a record of 11-8. South Webster lost 56-36 in their recent league bout against Portsmouth West (West Portsmouth, OH)

Next up, the Hornets play the Tolsia Rebels (Fort Gay, WV) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 7. Dawson-Bryant will attempt to upgrade on its 8-12 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 7-9 record after their 49-41 non-league win over Grace Christian (Huntington, WV).
