Clymer Central Pirates (Clymer, NY) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Maple Grove Red Dragons (Bemus Point, NY), 36-31 in a league bout.

With the victory, Clymer Central upgrades its record to 15-2 on the campaign. The Pirates host Westfield (Westfield, NY) to play the Wolverines in a Section 6 Chautauqua/Cattaraugus - West II bout on Thursday, February 8. The Wolverines come into the bout with a record of 9-4.
