The Tulelake Honkers held off the visiting Crosspoint Christian Warriors basketball team by a tally of 37-33 in Monday's non-league battle.
The Honkers now possess a 11-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Surprise Valley for a Evergreen battle on Thursday, February 8. Tulelake will battle a Hornets team coming off a 40-22 league loss to Hayfork (Hayfork, CA). The Hornets record now stands at 9-10.
The Warriors (5-14) will now prepare for their battle against Chiloquin (Chiloquin, OR). The Panthers/Queens come into the 1A Mountain Valley battle with a 15-1 record. In their last battle, Chiloquin edged Lost River (Merrill, OR), 58-11, in a league battle.
