Shady Side Academy Bulldogs (Pittsburgh, PA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Deer Lakes Lancers (Russellton, PA), 76-12 in a league bout.

With the victory, Shady Side Academy upgrades its record to 12-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Ligonier Valley (Ligonier, PA) to play the Rams in a WPIAL 3A 3 bout on Thursday, February 8. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 5-15. Ligonier Valley lost 51-29 in their recent league bout against Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, PA)

Next up, the Lancers play the Burrell Bucs (Lower Burrell, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 3 bout, on Thursday, February 8. Deer Lakes will attempt to upgrade on its 4-16 season record. The Bucs come into the bout with a 15-4 record after their 48-17 league win over Apollo Ridge (Spring Church, PA).
