Pearl City Wolves (Pearl City, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Durand Bulldogs (Durand, IL), 42-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Pearl City upgrades its record to 5-23 on the season. The Wolves travel to Ashton-Franklin Center (Ashton, IL) to play the Raiders in a Northwest Upstate Illini - South bout on Monday, February 5. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 20-9. Ashton-Franklin Center won 32-27 in their recent league bout against Amboy (Amboy, IL)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Dakota Indians (Dakota, IL) in a Northwest Upstate Illini - North bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Durand will attempt to upgrade on its 5-16 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 10-17 record after their 57-19 league loss to Aquin Catholic (Freeport, IL).
