Arizona High School Basketball - San Tan Foothills can't hold off Florence

The San Tan Foothills Sabercats basketball team (Queen Creek, AZ), was nudged 46-40 in Monday's league battle with the host Florence Gophers (Florence, AZ)

The Gophers now possess a 9-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Valley Christian for a 3A South Central battle on Wednesday, February 7. Florence will battle a Trojans team coming off a 44-42 league win over Coolidge (Coolidge, AZ). The Trojans record now stands at 22-3.

The Sabercats (6-18) will now prepare for their battle against Palo Verde (Tucson, AZ). The Titans come into the non-league battle with a 4-19 record. In their last battle, Palo Verde edged Catalina (Tucson, AZ), 48-13, in a league battle.
