The Franklinton Demons basketball team (Franklinton, LA), was nudged 37-33 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting Varnado Wildcats (Angie, LA)

The Wildcats now possess a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West St. John for a 1A District 10 battle on Friday, February 9.

The Demons (7-13) will now prepare for their battle against Pearl River (Pearl River, LA). The Rebels come into the 4A District 8 battle with a 19-7 record. In their last battle, Pearl River edged Mt. Hermon (Mt. Hermon, LA), 62-37, in a non-league battle.
