The Jefferson Hawks basketball team (Cedar Rapids, IA), was routed 73-35 in Monday's league battle with the host Western Dubuque Bobcats (Epworth, IA)

The Bobcats now sport a 13-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Waterloo West for a Mississippi Valley battle on Tuesday, February 6. Western Dubuque will battle a Wahawks team coming off a 54-46 league win over Waterloo East (Waterloo, IA). The Wahawks record now stands at 9-10.

The Hawks (5-14) will now prepare for their battle against Liberty (North Liberty, IA). The Lightning come into the Mississippi Valley battle with a 8-5 record. In their last battle, Liberty trounced Dubuque Senior (Dubuque, IA), 68-27, in a league battle.
