Jonesboro Hurricane (Jonesboro, AR) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Little Rock Southwest Gryphons (Little Rock, AR), 58-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Jonesboro upgrades its record to 8-13 on the season. The Hurricane host Marmaduke (Marmaduke, AR) to play the Greyhounds in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a record of 12-14. Marmaduke lost 62-46 in their recent league bout against East Poinsett County (Lepanto, AR)

Next up, the Gryphons play the North Little Rock Charging Wildcats (North Little Rock, AR) in a 6A Central bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Little Rock Southwest will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Charging Wildcats go into the bout with a 20-4 record after their 78-65 league loss to Conway (Conway, AR).
