Stuarts Draft Cougars (Stuarts Draft, VA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA), 58-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Stuarts Draft upgrades its record to 12-8 on the season. The Cougars host Wilson Memorial (Fishersville, VA) to clash with the Green Hornets in a Shenandoah bout on Friday, February 9. The Green Hornets go into the bout with a record of 11-9. Wilson Memorial lost 55-52 in their recent league bout against Staunton (Staunton, VA)

Next up, the Mustangs clash with the Orange County Fighting Hornets (Orange, VA) in a Jefferson bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Monticello will attempt to upgrade on its 11-9 season record. The Fighting Hornets go into the bout with a 15-6 record after their 58-46 league win over Louisa County (Mineral, VA).
