The Nelson County Governors basketball team (Lovingston, VA), was nudged 2-0 in Monday's league battle with the visiting William Campbell Generals (Naruna, VA)

The Generals now possess a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Appomattox County for a Dogwood battle on Tuesday, February 6. William Campbell will confront a Raiders team coming off a 37-23 league win over Chatham (Chatham, VA). The Raiders record now stands at 13-4.

The Governors (0-17) will now prepare for their battle against Gretna (Gretna, VA). The Hawks come into the Dogwood battle with a 7-12 record. In their last battle, Gretna edged Altavista (Altavista, VA), 52-36, in a league contest.
