The Westmoreland Eagles basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Northumberland Indians to 28 in the Eagles league triumph on Monday.
The Eagles now sport a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rappahannock for a Northern Neck contest on Tuesday, February 6. Westmoreland will battle a Raiders team coming off a 42-29 league win over Colonial Beach (Colonial Beach, VA). The Raiders record now stands at 10-8.
The Indians (3-13) will now prepare for their contest against Colonial Beach (Colonial Beach, VA). The Drifters enter the Northern Neck contest with a 7-12 record. In their last contest, Colonial Beach was routed by Rappahannock (Warsaw, VA), 42-29, in a league contest.
