The Spackenkill Spartans basketball team (Poughkeepsie, NY), was toppled 46-38 in Monday's league battle with the visiting Onteora Eagles (Boiceville, NY)

The Eagles now possess a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ellenville for a Section 9 MHAL I battle on Tuesday, February 6. Onteora will confront a Blue Devils team coming off a 38-28 league loss to Webutuck (Amenia, NY). The Blue Devils record now stands at 2-10.

The Spartans (5-8) will now prepare for their battle against Saugerties (Saugerties, NY). The Sawyers come into the Section 9 MHAL I battle with a 9-6 record. In their last battle, Saugerties was toppled by Our Lady of Lourdes (Poughkeepsie, NY), 62-26, in a league battle.
